On April 16, 2014, Attorney Dana Hanley presented a two-hour symposium on incorporating small businesses in Maine through the “Quick Start Class” sponsored by Community Concepts Finance Corporation. The meeting was held at the conference center of Community Concepts located in Market Square, South Paris, Maine.
Dana shared his 25 years of “hands-on” experience representing nearly 300 assorted corporations located primarily in western Maine. Attorney Hanley detailed the differences between C Corporations, Sub- Chapter S Corporations and Limited Liability Companies and answered some very good questions posited by the participants. Dana also shared many elements that help lay a solid foundation for a successful business.
As noted by Glen Holmes, Director of the Western Maine Economic Development Council, “We greatly appreciated Dana’s involvement with our Quick Start Class program. He received very favorable reviews, and the presentation wouldn’t have been the same without him.”
