Dana Hanley graduated from Oxford Hills High School, Colby College, and the University of Maine School of Law. Dana first established his law practice as a sole practitioner in 1991 in Paris, Maine. Prior to establishing his private law practice, Dana served ten years in Maine’s Legislature in both the House and the Senate from 1986 to 1996. In his last term in the Maine Senate, Dana served as the Chair of the Appropriations Committee; and, in the prior sessions, he served as the GOP Chair of the Reapportionment Committee, which convenes once every decade.
Dana was elected Judge of Probate for Oxford County in 1996 and held that position continuously until 2016. Dana has the distinction of being the first Judge in Maine history to be accepted into the Masters program of The National Judicial College. Dana was the Chairman of the Supreme Court’s Advisory Committee on Probate Rules and is a former President of the Probate Judges Assembly.
Dana focuses his practice in the areas of: general civil litigation; real estate (residential and commercial transactions); corporate law; small business representation; and estate planning and administration.
